I have learned not to try hitting a target when using the Chrono.

One of my tricks to try and avoid hitting a sensitive part is to use a piece of masking tape between the second screen supports as an aiming point for iron-sighted pistols. That is much more accurate that lining up a further downrange target. You can actually shoot the tape a few times before it lets go.
