From what I heard/saw broadcast on television news this evening, Sadam had appealed to some U.S. Court. The judge denied his appeal. How nice to see such a display of good sense from a judge.

I'm only posting in the celebratory Saddam threads, hardly spamming the whole board up.

People forget that while they are cheering the loss of one man that had full US backing until he became dispensable there are people enraged enough now by this execution to kill more of our troops over there than ever before.

Plus, killing him doesn't bring back one single troop that already died.

It's lose/lose.

And I blame the right-wing Christian nutjobs and am the only one here willing to call them out on it.

Our kids are dying there over a Bush family feud.

Saddams deaths means little in the long run. Tomorrow more civilians, and US soliders will die because an adminstration decided to invade a country that at one time was fully backed by the US government during the Regan years. Out country has become the most dispicable country on the face of the planet because of the right wing conservatives.
