I'm interested in this stock. I currently do not own a M1A. But, I'll like to get some feed back on you guys that have them.

I finally sold one of my Colts Locally last week. I put the funding into a Surefire weapon light. for my LMT, and some funds went to other things. I'm planning on selling/trading another rifle for this project.

I already have a PTR91KP. But, thanks to the read-ups and all. I will like to have
one of these rifles to my persons.

How hard is the install of a Sage International, M14 EBR.

I'm planning on getting the Stock first. then, purchasing the rifle later down the road. Gotta sell my Retro AR first though, for the above mentioned.

Thanks,

It's not a hard job - you can easily do it yourself with the right tools.
This web page may offer some additional sage advice.

The M-14 Firingline Forum may not be the best place for help with an EBR.

I'm a lifer with 2370 posts on that forum and I was banned about a year ago for mentioning the EBR and SEI to often... even though it's all I own.
You can pull up my old posts under H2O MAN.

BTW, M14HDW.US is a great web site for non traditional M14 configurations.

Take care, H2O MAN

Thanks for the sites fellas. I booked marked both.

Now I got to sell another rifle for this build. Guess, I could sell another AR for this stock. Bad case of BRD. LOL

I found H2O MANs postings to be quite informative & helpful on my Sage installation. I agree with the above post who stated that site is way over-moderated. I only own a Sage EBR as well, and have been a bit reluctant to post on that forum due to the tightness of the mods. I guess that is why I don't stray to far from THR!

H2O MAN will not steer you wrong, he is a wealth of knowledge on these rifle stocks. Have fun, they are a blast!

I turned my Springfield Inc. Bush rifle into a sort of 'retro' EBR.
I have all the upgrades on my rifle except the Sage stock as I have no need for a collapsing stock on my hunting rifle.

Basically you start with an 18" barrelled Scout or Bush rifle and add an extended bolt release, independent muzzle brake, front sight base/gas cylinder lock ring, scope mounting plate from Smith Enterprise and combat radium illuminated sights from XS sights.
Springfield Inc. produces the barrels for the Military EBR rifles.
