I now own a Saiga-12. I shot 150 shells of birdshot through it today, and now my shoulder hurts. I don't want my shoulder to hurt. To that end, I think a nice recoil pad would be in order, but Limbsaver, Houge, nor the other sites I've looked at seem to explicitly list pads which will fit a Saiga-12.

Which "off the shelf" pads work for the Saiga-12, or which have a complete solution available (so I don't have to do any metal-working myself)?

Even more specifically, do the Limbsaver slip-on pads do a good job? If so, which size have folks found to be the best?

My shoulder thanks you all in advance for your information... :(

Check out Kick-Eez pads - my personal favorites. If your Saiga has a wooden stock, you can select one of their grind-to-fit pads and you're good to go. If your Saiga has a synthetic stock, among other accessories, they market a "Metal Eez" aluminum spacer to fit into the end of synthetic stocks, allowing you to mount a recoil pad behind it. After you've fitted that (grinding the edges to fit if necessary), you can get either a pre-fitted pad or a grind-to-fit unit and put it on the spacer.

I don't own a grinding tool, such as a Dremel (gasp!), so I was hoping to avoid any grinding. I ordered one of those pachmayr slip-overs, the new one with velcro, which I'm hopeful will work well. If that fails... well, having more tools is a good thing, right? :D

Thanks for the suggestions!
