I have three of these magazines waiting for September. But I need ideas on how to convert them to fit. Has anyone seen a Saiga 12 used w/ these mags? From looking at them I will have to shave down the width at the top so they will fit in the mag well and because they only hold 2.75" shells, I need to fabricate a mag lip at the front to take up the slack and a mag catch at the rear that will use the stock AK mag release. Should be fun if I ever get around to doing it. Picked up two mags for $35 each and the other I paid $65 for. A lot of money for so much possible fun.

Here is a USAS-12 Magazine

Here is a pic some guy posted a long time ago on the Saiga forum.

Just curious, but why do you have to wait until September? I'm nearly 100% certain that the AWB magazine limit only affects shotguns with fixed magazines holding +5 rounds, or magazines that hold +10 rounds made after September 14th.

Well, it's a little more complicated than that because the USAS-12 is a banned Destructive Device, requiring a tax stamp to transfer. I'm not sure if modifying 10 round shotgun mags is illegal, but I'm waiting for the sunset anyways just to be safe. Plus, I want to try to get some Saiga 8 round mags before I hack up these rare and expensive magazines.

You can actually fit 9 in the 8 round magazines for the Saiga. I would probably just hold off on chopping up the USAS mags. It doesn't seem like it would be worth the problem for one extra round.

Hartzpad I am sorry I completely forgot that I was going to give you a call this week. I will try to call you tonight about those Saiga mags.

Even if the AWB goes away doesn't it have to be an American Rifle or shotgun(parts) before it can take large capacity magazines?

That's why you have to add 5 U.S. made parts so that it becomes s domestic rifle/shotgun, then you can add hi-cap mags.
