Been reading about this rifle and am thinking of trying to buy one. Any suggestions where to find one already 'converted' ?

FWIW, you'll generally pay a lot more for a converted rifle. The conversion process itself is relatively straight forward -- you can accomplish it in an afternoon in your garage using standard tools (drill, Dremel and a screw driver). Depending on how fancy you get with option, expect to spend $100-$150 in parts...you can use that as a guide to compare the purchase price for an already converted rifle (the unconverted is selling for $370 +S/H + FFL on GilbertsGuns.com)

I've got a couple of Tromix converted .308s in stock right now. Tony's guns aren't the cheapest, but he does excellent work.

Converting is easy, a little easier than the 7.62x39 saiga.

And it is a fine rifle.
Thx for the mag link, I really like the looks of the converted G3 steel mags a LOT.

MD, fingers crossed, September. Just waiting for the Russians to send me followers.
