heres the ad i found, am i missing something? is this really worth that amount?

Like new German AK with Russian illuminated scope. Synthetic stock. Very few rounds put through this rifle. 7.62x39. Own a very rare and hard to get rifle. $1150 offer. 541-222-9007

It's not German. It's Russian. And it's not worth $1150. I paid $350 for mine back before Obama won. What are they truly worth? I'd consider them a good deal at $450, and still worth it at $500 if that's the going rate; it's still half the price of a decent AR. But not $1150.

My Saiga conversion cost me around $1450 total once I got it completely up to speed. Aimpoint red dot, Ultimak, Bulgarian and Galil furniture, Tromix conversion, Blue Force Gear - Vicker's sling, etc.

It does cost a lot to make a rifle with good potential into a good rifle.

SAIGA Ak47,,,1150$?????

But yes, that is insanely overpriced for what is pictured. This is a Saiga which literally costs $1450 at cost, if you do it right.

I stuck a Leapers 3-9x40 on mine and couldn't be happier. I mean, I paid $70 and got a scope that works well and has good zoom. My total investment was around $500 on my Saiga .223, and it's mostly stock. Only real thing I changed was I went to a skeleton stock.

the link said 'UK' in it. Maybe that means something

This guy lives in oregon, he posted this on a local gun classified / forum

the scope appears to be a Russian posp scope, 8x, maybe a variable, with tap on illuminated reticle, and ir response light. when Saigas were normal priced about 2 years ago, you could get one for about 275, that is about what that scope is worth.

OH SNAP!

COME ON GUYS! This guy is offering a screaming deal on this 'rare German AK'.

Since it is a Saiga that is made in Germany, it must be made of 75% unobtanium and 25% bovine fecal material, and the guy should have it priced closer to $500,000 (which would still be a screaming deal).
