once your done converting a saiga, there are 2 holes in the back that are open when you drilled out the old pins, is it safe to fire the gun with those pins out? they do noting after the convert but keep no light from coming in, I wanted to know could gas escape out the back and burn your fingers? because the hole is unplug? I am still looking for pins to fill those holes in

You're concerned about those, and not the big gaping hole in the bottom [where the half-trigger used to be]?

Consider them extra drain holes.

Saiga AK's

My friend has several Saigas and I was asking him about, where trigger is, how will a standard AK stock fit. He told me the few thing that need to be done. I then came across an aftermarket AK stock that has the pistol grip as part of the rear shoulder stock. This eliminates the modding aspect for a conventional AK stock but now I can't remember who made them. I'm probably going to go ahead and put an aftermarket stock on my Norinco MAK. I'll have to file down the part of the stock that fits into the rear trunion due to the thickness of a Norinco MAK receiver.

Yes, you can get stocks that bolt right on with no mods. They make the gun stay clumsy with a terrible trigger feel, and you have to closely watch 922r compliance as well. It's the fast and cheap way to go, but doesn't deliver the same thing as a conversion.

Mine had the standard FCG and pistol grip holes beneath the installed bottom plate for the saiga garbage group. It also accepts AKM butt stocks w/o any issues. The only real job was trimming the mag catch and installing the bullet guide. Both of those items required a little fine work to get right. The holes I left alone because they harm nothing as previously stated.
