so, I'm almost done converting my Saiga.... and I put on the first nut and bolt for the trigger guard and there is no predrilled hole for the second one... I don't feel like drilling a new hole thru the receiver as I already have the guts in properly but cutting off the end of the new trigger guard and just installing the pistol grip... is this a smart move?
I can't just install the new grip as it moves the unsecured trigger guard into the back of the trigger rendering it useless... any advice? thanks, Johnny

Drill the hole. It will only hurt for a little while. ;)

The trigger guard will feel nice and solid.

what trigger guard are you using? pictures would be nice. I have done several saiga conversions and have not had to drill any new holds to get it back together.

I had to drill a hole to make mine fit. Use some GOOD metal drill bits and some kind of cutting oil (I used WD-40) and you will be fine. It's better if you have a drill press but don't sweat it if you don't. I'm at 300 rounds and my gun hasn't blown up yet!

Carolina Shooter Supply angled guard... I cut it cause the grip has a holder for that side of the guard... it looks a little sloppy but oh well... if it bothers me too much I'll drill th hole and get new guard.
