Alright.. first I want to thank those who really helped me with this project WardenWolf, Nalioth, Supercopjason.

Thanks for not only tolerating my ignorance, panics, million questions, but giving me good insight into the project as a whole also.

Could not have done it without ya.

So, it has the

Arsenal 2-stage FCG
FCG retainer plate
Bolt-hold open works! (what a pain)
TAPCO AK buttstock
TAPCO intrafuse handguard
Ergonomic pistol grip...
Original AK scope rail..

Used RustOleum "high temperature" to do the finish work. Perfect match and very durable in just two coats! (most spray paints seem to flake and scratch real easy, but this actually holds up)

So.. here is before.. and I think the magazine would be illegal (before conversion), so just so you know its fake...

And after...

You know what upsets me?

2 things..

1. Scopes don't come with weaver rings (thats what I need, right)? Guess I never bought one new...my dad always handled that.

SO IF ANYONE wants to sell me some, or donate that would be very awesome.

2.The bottom rail on that new handgaurd makes for a really uncomfortable holding of the gun. So I did not mount it, just left the side ones. For a flashlight etc.

I did not do the bullet guide.. I may or may not...probably want a gunsmith to do that.

Whatcha think?

I think that'd be a waste of money.

It's pretty easy to do, and if you still manage to screw it up somehow, the fallback options are cheap and diverse.

Looks nice.

You can do the bullet guide yourself, but you REALLY need a drill press to do it safely. My advice: don't, unless you know someone who has one. As for the handguard, you can get rail covers that go over the rail to protect your hand. These make it actually comfortable.

good work, don't fear the bullet guide but be warned the tap is real thin and brittle so use plenty of oil and work it in and back out.

ooks great. You are braver than me. I wouldn't attempt to do a conversion.

If you want an awesome AK for an awesome price, you will.

Just have a few shots of tequila during the 4 hours it takes to do the drilling and grinding :p
