Just curious but I mounted a cheap Tasco red dot scope on my SKS which has a Tapco Intrafuse stock with a NcStar tri-rail reciever cover and bout ready to sight it in, what kind of accuracy am i to expect? i'll be sighting in at 100 yrds

I don't hunt with this gun nor is it for home defense, just a fun gun to me.

NcStar tri-rail reciever cover

This will likely be the limitation of the accuracy. While tighter than the AK receiver covers, they still don't usually hold zero very well.

OTOH if you can keep all the rounds in the circle covered by the dot it should be good enough in a practical sense as the dots are typically 3-5 moa in diameter.

As to RDS in general, they can be reasonably accurate, providing the RDS is a quality optic mounted via a quality mount.

You didn't read the opening post, did you? :neener:

I had the exact same setup on an SKS, except it was a BSA holographic. I think you will find accuracy to be about the same as iron sights. Target acquisition will be quicker, though. Then, when you remove the tri-rail cover for cleaning the gun, you'll have to tweak the zero on the sight again.
