Hoping to find out if a regular 16" Saiga308 can be coverted to a slant-cut receiver to accept the thumbhole stock from a Saiga308ver.21? Thanks in advance!

Hi Plink. Ever get the Vz24 running? I just sold mine...and miss it.

The Saiga could be adapted with some discretionary dremeling....but at the end of the day, you'll have done a lot of work (and risked the potential of messing up your receiver permanently) for what? ...nothing you can't accomplish with a PSL butt stock. Cheaper too.

I have an old PSL butt-stock lying around somewhere if you want it; got it for my 410 Saiga, but the raised cheek-piece area just is not conducive to left handed shooting...which i do almost exclusively.

Cheers, Dd

Hey Desi! My VZ24 languishes; windage-adjustable scope rings and a custom mount have not overcome a wicked bias to the left. I'm tempted to just go back to irons with a shorter post, but the idea was adjustability to any ammo... what a shame!
Anyway, I guess my question was how to convert a carbine Saiga308 to accept the stock from my ver21. Perhaps I have a knack for frustratingly innane rifle troubles, but I'm actually trying to keep it simple.
