hello,
new guy here.

myself and some friends have began shooting semi-competitively recently, having a great time with it, but I am wanting to upgrade or replace my rifle.

I already own a sako l61r finnbear in 270 in vgc, that I am willing to re-stock, probably with a mcmillan a4, or I have been looking at a brand new tikka t-3 tactical in 308 .

the tikka rifles are made by sako, correct? is the quality as good or better than the rifle i already own? or should i just build on the rifle i already have? I do prefer the "tactical" style of stock with its heavy feel, and bipod.. hence the desire to re-stock the l61r,

any suggestions?

i havent been able to find much info on how these older rifles stack up against new ones..

I don't really know much about the Tikka but in the gunshop today was a Sako that nearly had me reach for the Mastercard. Stunning rifle, and with their reputation, I would love one!!! I just don't like the Tikka T3 stocks. Most people probably do and I bet they are good but it's just the look that does not do it for me.
