Legal? Yes. BUT, watch for the 30-06 signs and the 51% signs.

If your out and about during the day and early evening hours, I would leave it in the room, but if your out at late nite, then carry.

That place is crawling with SAPD and if your in an area where your with a bunch of folk, then your safe

FYI

To answer my own question, went to the oyster bake last night at St Marys University. The police have you empty pockets and pat you down, seach purses and bags and take 'dangerous' objects from you. You dont get confiscated items back. I left the carry in the car. Wife lost her keychain pepper spray for good. You do have the option of not bringing the item in, but if you dont want to make the walk back to wherever, you lose it.

Sounds like 2 different questions. The Oyster Bake is a separately ticketed offical Fiesta event whose organizers work in conjunction with the Fiesta San Antonio Commission.

FAQ for the Oyster Bake speaks specifically to weapons:
http://www.oysterbake.com/info/faq.html
"No Weapons (including Oyster Knives) allowed into the Fiesta Oyster Bake grounds. Items are subject to confiscation and will not be returned."

Different events could have different rules/restrictions. As calaverasslim stated, watch for signs -- or just don't carry.
