OK, OK--enough badgering (or is that Skunkering?).
I'm IN. I'll see if I can bring a wife or friend, but I won't count on it. I'm thinking Saturday AM arrival (unless I can carpool with some other SoCal-ers?).
Y'know, here's the p*sser: My wife just went to Glock school, so now that she's authorized for duty carry and has a high-speed Safariland holster, she won't give me back my 19. <sigh>
Just gonna have to put my foot down, I guess.

Century eggs are the greenish/black eggs.
I don't know what the red shelled eggs are called. The eggwhite are very salty, and the yolk is very oily.

Filipinos call the red ones "itlog na pula" and duck eggs "balut." Very yummy, and you can usually get them in most of the better asian food stores.
Probably not very good for your heart though.
Oh, I tell the people new to balut to eat them in the dark - you really don't want to see what you're eating... although you may bite into a feather or beak or two.

Yeah, all 3 egg delicacies are yummy. The almost-a-duck balut is best when its still warm though. The salty one is good if you have rice or some other to accompany the salty taste. Century egg is the least tasty of the 3.
