45R and I were thinking of meeting each other half way and get our gats on.

Date and details are uncertain but it'll probably happen. Who's in?

I thought about going for about a half a second, but at 335 miles it's a little out of a reach...especially with gas prices as they are.

Bay Area or Sacramento and I'll be there.

Ed

YES YES YES!!! SLO right here!!!
I'm coming definitely if it happens!
Woohoo, finally a shoot only 20 minutes away instead of 4 hours!
Plus I get to meet the Skunky and 45R, cool!

I might be in... I live in Camarillo but I'm originally from SLO. What range? Hwy 1?

Question: If you live in Orange Co. why SLO?

I usually shoot at ASR, maybe we can get a So. CA Shoot going sometime.

SLO because 45R is in Sacramento, so we're meeting each other half way.

We don't know the area well and the recon skunks haven't reported back. We think the coyotes have a battery of SSMs (surface to skunk missiles) somewhere along the 101 freeway....

Elarski,

I'll be shooting this Sunday at ASR, look for all the BIG rifles at the far end of the rifle range. If you want to shoot a .50 just ask and if you want to come out and shoot, come on. We bring out other stuff besides our .50's.

Thanks for the invite 50 Shooter! I've wanted to make your shoots for a while now, but... I've been fighting the urge. I think, no, I know, that once I get a taste of shooting a .50 cal, I won't be able to turn back. My "Passion" for firearms will indeed turn into a full-fledged addiction. My wife is cool with my shooting & collecting, and is also aware of the "need" of a Fifty. Our anniversary will coincide timewise with a Re-Fi on the casa... so I'm thinking I might be able to divert some funds towards a Fifty, especially if her anniversary gift has a couple of carats of Sparkly on it! :D

Sorry for highjacking your thread guys.

Hey Combat-Wombat: Are you and your Dad members of the Santa Lucia Sportsman's Association? If not, where do you shoot? If you're interested, I can take you one time as a guest, to check out the range sometime.

Yep, we're members of the Santa Lucia Sportsmen Association. We haven't been shooting for, like, 5 months 'cause my dad has been really busy, but we go up there every once in a while

Wouldent Somewhere like Fresno, or Coalinga be centerally located as well as much easier to get to? The central coast is one of those "you cant get there from here" kinda places.

Coalinga has a 1000 yard range.

Over on Cal-Guns they have a big shoot coming up for Central/Norcal called "Shooting Man". You can look into that also www.calguns.net

Sorry for the thread hi-jack but more people from the PRK need to get together and shoot.

Mid-May sounds good. Memorial day is the last Monday FWIW.

Is this going to be a two or three day thang?

mabe no range

mabe we can go out to the los padres forest. That way, we can set up some targets and no stupid range rules. I used to go to a place up on the slo grade when I worked at camp slo. I dont know if it is still open up there. But there is lots of places out that way.:D :D

Yo, Stevo...

I think that's a pretty good idea. I've always been to ranges, never jusut to some area somewhere to shoot. I think that would be great... range rules can get so annoying.
