I use Grecos like bargain blades. They won't break, that is for sure but few of them have that fine flat grind that enables an easy slicing edge.I LIKE Grecos alot for 20 years or so.They surely are the most knife for the money IMHO.
BTW Kevins prices have moved up lately, I think an ATAK is $800 for instance, but they resell for about twice that.
I know many people who buy knives and claim they are the best ever , yet they have never used them to cut open more than a piece of mail or perhaps a UPS package....
Others buy for the collection factor , to hope to make $$$ on a resell later....
then there are those that buy just for the "cool thing to have factor"....
The same also goes for firearms , I have friends who claim their Glock ( that they might have 500 rounds thru over many years ) is more reliable than my Para P14 with over 70,000 rounds thru it....
People buy for different reasons, neither reason is better than the other....
Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder....
All one can do is buy what they like.....
Me, I just struck a deal for a Hossom DogTag , to replace the one I stupidly sold years ago...
Although still not too old to engage in many activities, I don't lay carpet as I don't like rug burns.
No I throw Greco Whisper boot knives in every pack and vehicle cubby, I have 5 of them and a couple MST s , I too have a couple of his little Bowies and a custom stag horn /searles mini hatchet- Bowie combo that I love and take on Elk Hunts over the years.
