The Santa Fe City Council is currently considering an ordinance that would ban the future possession, sale or transfer of any ammunition feeding device that accepts, or can be readily converted to accept, more than ten rounds.

Now according to Wiki New Mexico has preemption: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_New_Mexico#State_preemption

The question would be is how the heck the city thinks they are going to get around this, or are they going to try and say preemption only covers firearms and not magazines.

The elected officials from/in Santa Fe are batting zero thus far in their attempts to violate the 2A to the US constitution and A2S6 of the NM constitution.

Rep. Stephen Easley failed to get out of committee with his NM version of the SAFE act, and Councilwoman Patti Bushee seems to not understand what the word "incident" means.
