Could anyone help me, please? My friend is considering purchase of an used Sauer 200 SP. It is a high grade sports rifle intended for 300m position shooting. I've heard and handled Sauers 200 TR, 200 STR (which is basically 200TR with black stock) and 200 UIT (a 200 TR without the magazine - a single shot variant) but I've never heard of 200 SP version - it looks similar to 200 TR with a single stack detachable magazine and BUSK diopter, and the only difference seems to be different front sight (clamped around the barrel rather than screwed from upper side through the sight hood).

Could You tell me what version it is and how it differs from the other versions - the seller does not know anything about it. Perhaps it has a steel receiver - the standard for a 200 TR is aluminum receiver (the bolt lugs are locked in the barell, so there's no absolute need for steel here), as far as I know, and a steel receiver is an option.

Thanks!

He he! :D

It looks like this mostly because it is the same gun my buddy is thinking of buying :D

I'm from Poland and so is my pal and importing the gun from Germany is no problem for us (both are UE countries so minimal paperwork is necessary).

The seller does not answer my e-mails, although I bought a Rem 870 shotgun and and Hammerli 280 .22&.32 pistol of him - and I know he will make no problem communicating and shipping the gun once the price is paid. But I would like to know what I'm buying beforehand.

Here is Sauer 200 STR with what I consider a "normal" front sight on that kind of rifle:

although I think it is either a normal 200 TR or an 200 STR with changed stock (should be black coloured birchwood laminate, I think).

Question remains - what is that 200 SP variant and how is it different from 200 TR / 200 STR? H E L P!
