Anyone have any knowledge of, or experience with this rifle?

http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/...ts_id/70992/Savage+10FPSR+LE+308+THREADED+BBL

I searched for it by name, feature, and model number on the Savage site, and couldn't find anything. Guessing that means it's discontinued. A Google search brought up a couple other vendors (and descriptions) of the rifle, since I generally don't trust Bud's to properly describe the product.

Best I can tell, this rifle has either a 22" or 24" threaded bull barrel (hoping for the 22"), blind box magazine, standard Savage synthetic stock (as opposed to Accustock), and ofc the accutrigger. I'm really curious whether it has the top or bottom bolt release.

I've been looking forward to buying a rifle at the end of the week, and this caught my eye and made me rethink my decision. It'll be my only rifle for the next couple years while I finish school, used for a bit of hunting and mostly plinking, and will then become the basis for a project build.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

I don't have experience with that particular rifle, but I do have a savage 10 pc... it has a medium heavy 20" barrel, detachable mag, accustock, accutrigger, savage 's new recoil pad (works wonders), and it comes either threaded or not... it is a 1/2 moa rifle with handloadshandload and suppressed! I would recommend it to anyone!

I have that exact rifle purchased from the same site. It is the most accurate rifle I own and I own quite a few. At 300 yards with my handloads it will print 1.5 inch groups with regularity. That is off of bipods, not sandbags and is off of a bench. If you are using it for target shooting you cannot go wrong. It is a bit heavy as can be expected with that type of rifle but for the price the accuracy cannot be beat. You can also get an aftermarket hi cap magazine for that rifle but it is around $90.

I used to have a Savage 10 PC as well. Fantastic rifle that I would suggest to anyone in the market. Very accurate with some of my first reloads (read: could have been much better now). Rifle was a consistant MOA shooter with any decent factory ammo.

I personally think this would be a great rifle for building a budget long range or Tactical style gun.
