Savage Axis in 30-06 for $205.00 shipped?

I noticed that Bud's has the Savage Axis in 30-06 for $274.00 or best offer. They have it in 7mm-08 for $255.00 or best offer. I was thinking of offering $255.00 for the 30-06 version.

Because Savage currently has their $50.00 rebate going that would be $205.00 including shipping, less local FFL, DROS, etc.

Seems like a great deal. Any caveats?

The original Edge/Axis you can add an accutrigger if you can find one. Or you could add a pen spring and that helps reduce the trigger pull as well.

Having a new Axis rifle for $205 would be nice.

Gander has them in stock in their stores for $329 ($349 with scope package) vs $255. BassPro carries the scoped packages in store for $339. Same rebates will apply regardless where you buy it. So for the bare model the question really is cost of shipping and transfer fees.
