Savage Axis on sale...

Local Walmart in Wilmington Ohio has the Savage Axis on clearance for $198. Had one in Creedmoor (not anymore) a couple in 22-250, couple in .243, couple in 30-06. Apparently first version as they don't have accu trigger. I know the Creedmoor, one 22-250 and one .243 have been sold, but if anyone lives near here, it seems pretty cheap.

...and for the first time in my life, I've been put on a delay. Maybe I shouldn't have bought 2?Who knows. I do feel bad for people who impulse buy and aren't able to take their guns home that day though.

Ok deal. There were $75 rebates in November when they were regular priced at $249. Couple stores had them $229 on Black Friday too. $200 seems to be about the real new value.

Ive had my axis in .223 for a few years now and love it. Was able to get a double on coyote at 150 to 175 yards. I did put a nikon prostaff 3-9 x 40 instead of the cheap scope it came with. Also i reduced trigger pull by clipping some coils off the trigger spring.
