Savage M40 Varmint

Earlier I posted a question about the new Savage M12 Low Profile Varmint rifle but no one seems to have seen or read about that one. How about the new Savage M40 Varmint??? Anyone have one, seen one, read about one? I'm especially interested to see if the trigger is good since, according to their website, it doesn't seem to come with the AccuTrigger. Thanks!

the concensus i'm getting off of the folks over on the savageshooter's website is that the Low-Profile and M40 models will not hit the shelves for a few more months, we may not see them untill early to mid summer...

the same is being said of the availability of the accu-trigger equipped "non-target/tactical" models.

in fact the other day i did a search of Davidson's on-line catalog and the only savage in .308 that would come up was the 10FP.

i guess we're all in a "waiting for the first shipments: mode now.....

Thanks, Detritus! I wasn't even aware that their was a Savage Shooters site! I guess we'll just have to wait to see them.
