Savage model 220A

Does anyone know where i can find out info on a savage model 220A? I don't know where even to start looking.

Thanks for the info, In fact i am looking into everything i can about this gun i have been handed down to me. First The gun is in need of a much needed cleaning, any thoughts on how to take the barrel off for said cleaning. Only knowing that it is a 16ga. Shotgun, Made about of Chioopee Falls, MA. I don't see any ser. # at all marked on the gun. Does this model not have ser. #'s?
After eyeing over the whole gun, i noticed a # stamp mark on the barrel near the bottom left hand side, near the engraving of barrel info. Also on the right side plate. Does this mean anything? At all?

They went out of production before serial numbers were REQUIRED, but you may find some on the lug or inside the receiver (manufacturers need some way to make sure the fitted barrels and receivers stay together during the manufacturing process). Disassembly is simple: make sure it's unloaded. Repeat step one. Close the action, then pull down on the front of the forearm (it should just be held there by spring pressure). Once the forearm is down, you can take it off, then open the action again, and the barrel will separate from the receiver. Reassembly is in the reverse order.

I have found some markings on the barrel, and on the outside of the receiver to help in "ID'ing" this gun, so if ever do have to leave it with a gunsmith i know if it is mine or not.
