Do any of you guys know the proper wat to remove the tube magazine from the rifle. I need to remove the entire assembly from the rifle. I'm thinking the front mount has to be drifted out first.

Not sure.
But I sure would not drive the front mount ring out sideways with the tube still in it.
You are sure to bend the tube.

I'd look for a set screw inside the rear mount where the stock bolt also goes.

Or, it has something to do with the magazine guide & screw (parts #10 & #12).
The tube has a ring depression on the end that goes in the magazine guide in the action.
And that's almost bound to be what holds it in.

I just don't know exactly how.

Well I ended up drifting the front and rear together a little at a time. The front didn't take much and popped-off, then the rear lug. It worked out well. My dad taught me how to shoot with one these 52 years ago. They are a very well built .22.
Next up is the bolt. I'm sure I'll have some question on this.
Thanks for the input.
