I could not find a listing for this in my older Modern Gun Values and such. THe list the Model 6 but not 6DL-N R.
I seem to recall it was under the Christmas Tree in 66 or 67, maybe as late as 68 but I don't think so.
The thing feeds and cycles semi auto with HS shorts, longs and longrifle, even mixed in the mag tube. It will sometimes cycle old style crimped shot, depending on how it feels that day.
THe bolt may be used as a normal semi auto, or locked in either the forward position or the rear by pushing the round bolt handle in to the far side off the reciever. As a result it can be used as a bolt action and then feeds and fires CCL CBLongs well and quietly.
When cycling the bolt is arrested at full cock and held to the rear until the trigger is released then it snaps forward.
THe soft wood stock features areas of pressed "checkering" over the grip area and forearm and a white spacer infront of the black plastic butt plate.
I know I know! Pictures! Well if I could at the moment I would.
Any how its getting a bit long in the tooth and I was considering turning my inner bubba loose to refinish the stock and strip/clean/ polish and cold blue the steel. Even strip and repaint what appears to be an Aluminium Trigger guard.
Any reason why I should not?
