Savage Model 720 Cycling Problems

My friend has an old Savage Model 720 that loads and fires fine, but will not autocycle the next round. He took it to "The Profesionals", they looked at it could find nothing wrong with it. I was just wondering if THR colective mind had any ideas?

Loads and fires WHAT but doesn't cycle?....

If this is a 12 gauge, try a 1 1/8 oz, 3 dr eq target or field load. See if that gets things going. Some old shotguns get a bit sticky inside from old oil varnishing the parts and need a boost to get working again.

Bet this sat for decades.....
