I recently aquired a damaged savage o/u mod 333 that someone tried a 3 in. in 2 3/4 chamber split the block on the lower barrel, and bent the reciever. the gun was made by valmet of finland. does anyone know where i can get parts or have the gun fixed. it is in almost new pristine condition other wise. I tried looking on numrich but can't find that mod. thanks trapper

I don't think they've been made for awhile, so you may have to look for used parts from Sarco, Numrich or other suppliers. It may have more problems than meets the eye if the receiver is bent. Do you mean the sliding top lock? Sounds like the gun may have blown up, and the services of a competent gunsmith will be needed to insure safety.

They were a nicely made gun. I have a 330 in 20 gauge. Pretty utilitarian, but the receiver is strong and shallow due to the top lock that was also used by Krieghoff and Remington. The 333 could be had with a spare set of barrels, so there should be a few around. Good luck.
