Looked on Savage's web site and it looks like they will be offering their standard hunting rifles, the model 10 and 110 as well as the stainless Weather Warrior series in .260 Remington and 6.5x284 this year. With the Accustock and a proper 8" twist no less. Sweet! Been waiting for someone to produce these fine chamberings in an accurate hunting rifle with the right twist rate for heavier bullets. The Rem 700's had a 1 in 9" twist, and I'm not into Rugers.
I'll definitely be buying one this coming year. Just have to decide between the short or long action. Hmmm... Maybe a 6.5x284 for the better brass, I don't shoot my hunting rifles enough to burn out a barrel.
I'm glad to see their innovation in their new rifles with the Accustock and the smooth barrel nut. Never met a Savage that wouldn't shoot. I'm gonna send them a letter to commend them on their choice of offering these great calibers, I couldn't be more excited! I thought I was going to have to settle for a .270.
