Savage parts

Well, I bought my first rifle. I've always been a handgun guy, but I want to start rifle target shooting for fun. I'm planning on 200 yards for now. That's the longest at our range.

I'm a noob when it comes to rifles, so I need some direction. I bought a Savage Axis .308. It came with a cheap Bushnell 3x9x40 scope, which is fine to start with.

My question is, where do you guys find your aftermarket rifle parts? I've searched the big ones like midway, and CTD, but I don't see much for this rifle.

Thats because there isn't much for that rifle.

Most of the aftermarket parts are made for more popular, more expensive older models like the Savage 110 series, Remington Model 700, and WInchester Model 70 that have gazillions of rifles already in circulation.

The entry-level Axis is new enough on the market nobody is doing much at all for them, and may never because of lack of demand.

Oh well, I'm a noob rifle shooter so I'm sure it will be all that I need for now. I won't know the difference anyways, lol
