Hi folks,
I've come across an unusual rifle and I'm wondering if anyone might have some insight into this. It's a Savage 22 pump action with an octagonal barrel. This rifle looks to be from the 30's or 40's possibly. The barrel has the markings SAVAGE CO. 22 SL-LR UTICA N.Y. 39.475
I'm thinking it might be one of the one's that they used in the carnival/midway shooting galleries way back then.
Anyone have any information on this? I've dug around quite a bit and cannot locate anything. That's the part that's getting me. Not being able to find any info.
Thanks in advance.
