Savage rifles: Flat back vs Round back

I've been looking at tactical bolt handles for a Savage 12FV, some say round back, some are flat back. What is the difference and will either one or only one fit this gun?

If this is for a newer 12fv you want the round action handle.

In the early 2ks savage changed the rear of the 10/110 action profile from a reduced flat top, to a equal size round profile.

This means that if you put the wrong bolt handle on the wrong generation of reciever it will look funny.

They have this that says "round" but the pics of the one above (hard to tell for sure) seem rounded off like this one

Varminterrors picture shows the difference between the handles well. While the pictures on the site your looking at arnt great, nice handles tho....

Both handles you linked are the "round back" type.

Good, the one did not say round, but it appears rounded. Good.

Yes his pic is very clear! Even I see the difference.
