Mods, feel free to move this if this is in the wrong place (is it a rifle? a shotgun?).

It looks like Savage is re-entering the combination gun business, though those of you who hate polymer beware:

Personally, I like the basic design, but it feels more like a Kel-Tec design if you get my drift.

I like the way it looks except for that red plastic looking thing on the side of the action...and now that they've repackaged a good idea, they'll sell even more.

Love it with the exception of the red stuff.
Nothing that cant be cured with my trusty black magic marker though.

I have several if the old model 24's and love them. I am disappointed that they only offer them in .22/.22MAG--410 for now however. IMHO there has always been a need for this type of all around firearm and now they are bringing it back for a test run.

I would be interested in one as I like the new design along with the use of a polymer material for the stock.

Definitely could do without the red accents though.

If I had to guess, I bet they will come out with more caliber combos in the next few years. and like everybody else said, I don't like the red... It looks like a toy.

With the breech mounted rear sight, you would think a peep/ghost ring sight system would better serve the purpose of this model.

I SO wish they wouldnt go with the modern poly, tactical look.
They would be great in a tradition wood stock. I dont understand the need for everything to be so untraditonal anymore. Yes, of course there is a place for it, just not on everything.

Well you see that the place for a plastic stock is it is better for the bottom line. Wood costs lots more money to form into a stock. Inject some plastic into a mold and be done with it in seconds.:scrutiny: Shaping and finishing the exterior with a protective coating take a lot of expensive time to finish.

Oh, Im hip to the cost, FROGO207...but even in polymer they dont HAVE to make
it look so....like that.
Seriously...that loud as heck red writing? It just isnt my cup o tea, but the I love
the basic concept of the firearm itself.

Doesn't look that bad to me. Polymer stocks are the norm now, and these look fine. More just a matter of being the style of the time rather than "tacticool".

I do wish there were some more options (.223 atop 20ga or 12ga would be better), but overall its an interesting gun that I'd be willing to consider.
