Found one of these while I was stocking up on Mosin food this morning. Like new with rings and a Tasco Proghorn scope for $179. Now, I don't need this, it's not even on page 5 of my list of things to get. Plus The Wife spotted the new Stevens 311 in the gun cabinet last weekend, and wasn't too thrilled. But it sure was cool. The rifle scope will have to be replaced with a good pistol scope, but I have a 22 rifle project that could use the scope, so I would actually save money, right? I might have to trade my S&W 22A in the deal, but I'm not really that happy with it anyway, the grip's too thick for my stubby little fingers.

So, anyone out there have one? How's the accuracy? Come on, talk me into it. I'm already in the dog house, how bad can it get?
:uhoh:

I have on bought about a year ago. I use it for 25 yard metalic silhouette indoors. Its very accurate, I put a red dot on it. the trigger leaves something to be desired but it does improve with firing.

I did shoot a 50 yard rested target last summer with a 25 shot dime sized group using CCI standard velocity. Its very accurate.
You can also get rifle basix adjustible trigger for it for $70 1.5 lb pull to 4 lb pull. The lefthand bolt righthand ejection is also convenient.

Think anschutz exemplar for 1/3 of the price.

Too late to talk me out of it

Deal's done. My S&W 22A and a $10 bill for the Savage. Thought The Wife was going to hit me with a large heavy blunt object before She found out I only paid 10 bucks in the deal. But I don't have it in hand, because I bought it 30 minutes before store closing, and of course the ATF hasn't decided yet if I'm a terrorist trying to overthrow the government with my bolt action .22 rimfire pistol.

I love America with all my heart, but I sure could do without some of these asinine laws. I don't know how you guys from Kali, Ma and such cope without losing your minds.

California

It's not so bad, all the thugs and gang bangers have all the hi cap mags and pre-ban guns, so all you gotta do is cruise down to your local 'hood and put the word out that you've got some money to spend...

At least SOME peole are not affected by these asinine laws.

:banghead:

It's in my grubby little hands

And I really like it. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, promised The Wife I would take her shopping. Man I miss being able to shoot off the back porch.
Anyhow, the left handed bolt is a really good idea, very fast when you get the hang of it. Trigger pull is a little long, but I think that can be tweaked if I put my mind to it. I figure the 10'' floated barrel should be more accurate than I am, so I'll probably have to upgrade the scope some. The only complaint I have is the mag and the mag release, both thin stamped metal. Very classy looking pistol until you look at the cheesy mag. Oh well, my gramps always said I'd gripe if they hung me with a new rope. Can't wait to get it out to the range.
