Saw a big bear.

When I lived in West Texas (where I grew up) I camped often in and around the Davis Mountains and Big Bend area. Often had black bears coming in to check out the camps. Most were under 200 lbs and not aggressive.

Later when I began traveling to Colorado and camping in the Rocky Mountain National Park and doing backcountry camping saw a lot of much bigger black bears. Would often see them while white water rafting in and around the Gunnison and Grand Mesa areas as well. They seemed...determined.

The Texas bears seemed friendlier overall. Maybe its the steady supply of Dr. Pepper. (I went to college as an undergrad in the 80s at Baylor and we had a bear pit in the middle of campus which was always fun to visit. If you've watched college football I'm sure you've seen them giving the smaller bears bottles of DP to drink.)

Nice! Thanks for sharing I always love when people share wildlife pics here. That is a pretty big one.
