Thank you for your work on this. It would be really nice if we could get the CPL process out of the hands of the police, counties etc put it into the SOS's hand. Have it as simply an endorsement on our driver's license or state ID. Take a class, take the test, get the endorsement, like a motorcycle endorsement. Renew it when you renew your DL. System is already in place for documentation, IDs etc instead of the convoluted and costly system used currently. Eventually just have it as an endorsement without the expense and BS of the class and other hoops to jump through. Then just eliminate it all together. I shouldn't have to ask permission to exercise by constitutional rights.
