This cute little critter was a "FIRST" for me. The only single-shot falling-block, .22rf rifles I had seen in my 70+ years on this old ball of mud had the typical "pigtail" style levers. Think of the Stevens'; the Remingtons; the Winchesters; etc., ad infinitum.
Here's one that looks like something out of a John Wayne movie.
And, it's a nice little takedown model for backpacking, etc..
This is a Hopkins & Allen No. 822 "full loop" lever. Manufactured 1903 - 1915 according to Perkins' book: American Boys' Rifle 1890 - 1945. The regular No. 822 had the "pigtail" lever. This variation is simply called "scarce" in Perkins' book.
