I have to write a five page paper on a gang outside the United States, but I don't know of any gangs that are OUTSIDE the U.S. I need the name mostly. If any of you know of a gang (any gang prison or street) please put the name so I can look it up. Thanks!!!

My teacher is sort of being difficult on the issue. The gang is not supposed to be in the U.S. at all, or have little membership here. so the Crips and MS-13 won't work. Thanks!!!

What about the "Bruderbond" in South Africa? I'm not sure if they still exist like they once did, but maybe you could do the history of them.

It really depends what your teacher defines as a "gang".

This is great...Please keep up with the replies!!! The class is titled "Basic Gang Investigation" and goes toward my Administration of Justice major. My teacher is some high-up dude in the Parole Administration of California, so his definition of gang is exactly what the Penal Code states a gangs is. (Three or more, have a identifing mark, color, tattoo, etc...)

brit football yobs perhaps?

there is signifigant gang activity in england.

Does it have to be an existing gang, or will a now defunct gang be acceptable? That could broaden your options a little....
By the way, what school is this for? I grew up in Antioch and Oakley, attended LMC for a bit.

I am attending LMC. My teacher has not stated if the gang has to be around or dead, so all will be good for now. Thanks!!!

ms 13 will scare the hell out of you, and they will ship any one or anything into the u.s. they have no fear, they haved moved many terrorists personel and supplies into this country allready.

Lets not forget the Yakooza's. I know you said prison or street, but if your teacher was not specific about criminal gangs, other groups can be defined as gangs. Catholics for instance can be classified as a social gang.

MS-13 indeed. If I'm not mistake, MS-13 is a conglomerate of smaller gangs
that originated in San Salvador, but got into street crime as immigrants here in the US. The US-style streetgang activities spread back to the Centeral and South American countries that the immigrants were from.
