School me on the K31 and 7.5x55 Swiss

I shoot matches with my k-31. It is a pussy cat. The recoil is less abrupt than with a .308 bolt rifle.
To clarify one other thing. The current cartridge is unsafe in m1911 rifles made before 1913. The current bullet diameter was made official in 1913.

Ditto here. It likes the GP11 ball, and was built around it. The further you stray from GP11 the less happy the rifle is. So sometimes HP or SP hunting rounds don't group all that well.

The 96/11's are fine in my experience. A new barrel was added. And from what I've read the cartridge was designed in 1908 and made official in 1911, thus the name GP11. Are you thinking of the older Schmidt-Rubin 1889 with its weaker action?
