Scoop on Gemini Customs pistolsmiths?

Any one got any knowledge of Gemini Customs? They do custom 1911s and Ruger SP 101 work. Am thinking of having them work over my Ruger SP101, but thought I'd fish for their reputation a bit first. Heard anything?

If you run a search on the THR search engine, I know there are a few great writeups of GC's work, including pix.

One of our members has a great SP101 9mm that GC worked over, so I'd check around for his review. IIRC, he was thrilled with the results.

Top notch custom work on the SP-101. I'm the guy with the 9mm SP and they did a fantastic job on it. I've got two more SP's and at least one will be going to Marc at Gemini very soon. The pictures on the website and any that I could post won't do justice to the finished product, it is absolutely perfect in every way.

Thanks Tim. Which package did you get? Did accuracy improve by a noticable amount?

I have the SP101 package and couldn't be happier with it. I just got it back with a gold dot front sight.

I have two SP101s done by Marc Morganti at Gemini Customs with his "bead blasted" package.
Very good quality, and his porting genuinely works to reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise without any noticeable blast, debris or flash from the porting holes, even with full power 158gr+P JHP .357 Magnum rounds.

I did the beablasted package without the Hybraporting and added the gold bead front sight. This is not an accurizing package except that with a better trigger you can better utilize the accuracy that is already there.
