I just purchased an Eotech 420 Holographic sight, (Bushnell Holosight).
It turns out this particular model may be made for a bow and I am mounting it on a rifle. It does not have any zeroing adjustments. When I mounted it on my rifle the cener of the red dot was off to the right a bit when co-witnessed with the iron sights. My question is how do I align this sight a bit to the left?
I've heard of using thin shims but don't know how. Any suggestions?

Assuming you are using Weaver style bases you might be able to wrap a shim around the right side of the base. If that's the solid side of the sight's clamp then it will move it to the right. You can get shim stock in different thicknesses but a lot of guys just cut them from soda and beer cans. George
