This is just an FYI for my fellow 7.62x39 Ranch lovers. I have a Gen 1 Vortex PST 1-4x24 in mils on mine and it's like a match made in heaven. With standard 123ish grain loads, the reicles subtensions give you aiming points at roughly 150, 200, 250, 275, 300 .... I verified today out to 300 on 10" steel and my hits were well within the confines of the targets.
On most scopes I've checked out, the reticle holdover subtensions don't start till 300. I suppose there may be a BDC out there that offers more, but I prefer mils or moa.
Anyway, for a sub $300 scope with dang good glass, give it a thought if you're looking for something for you 7.62 Ranch. If you have Strelok or something like it, check it out. Just use the TMCQ reticle in mrad.
