Scope question/problem

I have a Leapold 4.5-14 tactical Varx 3 on my Rem 700 VLS. Today when I was firing it would get blury at 100 yards off and on it was random. It was not hot out. It happened to by buddy too when he fired it. I tried playing with the eye relief and the paralex adjustment. Nothing worked. Target still got blury would fade in and out. Whats wrong. Should I send the scope back to leapold. I did not notice a problem on my AR10 T with a Leapold 4-12.

If two guys both seem to feel that the scope is randomly comeing into and out of focus, I'd send it back to Leupold.

Sounds like you're getting mirage from a hot barrell, Thats what those extender tubes are for. They dont eliminate it but do reduce the sffect.

Thanks for the tip but I checked he barrel it was cool to the touch.

When I've visited my dad in Arkansas, I've noticed (Oh boy did I ever notice) a very high humidity condition. Although I don't know what area of Arkansas you're in, would it be possible that a ground mist, fog, whatever, may be causing the problem you & your friend are noticing?
