Rarely see more than a clicks worth as you describe (also not discounting it being possible).
@Varminterror that is what I was meaning by the above; that what was being described by the OP would be an anomaly I’ve yet to witness as described but the pattern in question often shows up when zeroing a scope improperly mounted.
Because many people hear the term parallax but don’t really understand it (and that is not what was diagramed) I figured for posterity’s sake future readers might understand the most likely cause of diagonal movement (not zoom related or course).
@cdb1, if it soothes your mind while sipping chamomile by all means, enlarge and print away.
