Long story short, I managed to get my remington 511 all fit and finished (New magazine, bolt, few screws and a replacement front sight)
Rifle was given to me with a Weaver C6 and a Weaver ".22 Tipoff" type mount that fit into the grooves on the reciever. Fit good, solid, but when I was testing it at the range I found that the scope needed to be adjusted. So I sat there for 10 minutes trying to figure out how exactly to go about doing that. Wasn't until one of the range officers who had a 511 with the same type of setup told me the windage adjustment was busted off the scope and I'd need a new one.
Now, let me be the first to admit that I'm pretty much an optics noob. I've been searching Midway and the like but not having much luck or just finding something that looks like it will work but I can't be 100% sure. So:
What type of scope mount am I looking for to fit the grooved reciever of this rifle?
And if anyone has any recommendations for a decent fixed power scope for 75 yard target shooting/Squirrels, groundhog and other pest eradication, I'd appreciate it
Thanks in Advance everyone.
