Scope mounts

I've got a Remington 700, .30-06 and a leupold vx-I (3-9x50) scope. I like the weaver type mount, but on the leupold site, they only list the 'other type' mount for my gun/scope combo. On another website though, I did find a 'Leupold Rifleman Rifle Scope mount' and 'Leupold Rifleman Rings: Detachable High Matte Black'. Will this mount and these rings work for my setup?

Any Gander Mountain/Bass Pro/ Walmart will probably have Weaver mounts and rings for your Remington. I can usually get by with medium rings when mounting a 50MM scope but it does depend on the barrel contour and exactly where the scope is mounted. Don't get the chaep Weaver brand rings that hinge, get decent Leupold etc. and this will be a good setup. I really like Weaver style bases and rings, definately not the prettiest but I have them on my 458 Win among others and they are strong.
