Picked up around 1,000 12ga Winchester AA hulls from an old range worker for $15 - he kindly included another 300 20ga hulls as well.

Dang - I need that reloading bench set up pronto!

Anyhow - I'm pretty happy about the deal. Wife just rolled her eyes

If they're the older, darker red, AA hulls, then you scored a good deal. It sounds like you did well.

The "new" AA's sometimes split the very first time they're fired and don't hold up well for reloading at all.

I have access to Drums of empty shotgun hulls that usually go to the dumpster! Are they really worth keeping? I don't reload for shotgun.

yes - they are the older AAs.

As for discarded shot shells - depends on the brand - I am looking at Winchester, Remington and Federal.
