I'm watching my dad's hunting dog for a couple of days while he's in the hospital, so he gave me a case of Federal Large Pistol Match primers.

No idea what the difference is between them and regular Federal Large Pistol primers, which I had a couple of thousand of already.

I use LPP in 10mm and .45 Colt loads.

Probably won't use them for years. Any reason to use them instead of standard primers? I have a bunch of CCI LPP and some CCI Magnum LPP.

You'd be hard press to notice any difference in casual shooting. Most of my Federal LPP are Match only because I happened on a deal where they were less expensive than regular Federal LPP.

I use them when loading ammo for Matches when I have to travel and stay in a hotel. Just a little extra peace of mind when spending extra money to attend a match

I bought this stuff in a sale before all the trouble started, I have been using the Fed large match primers and they are like everyone elses primers. I can't really tell any difference. Don't ask what I paid for this stuff, you won't like it. Hint (it was all 90% off) on clearance, including the control panals for my Hornady. I was looking for a control panal for my LNL-AP for Christmas a couple years ago and stumbled into this deal. I paid 10% of the red sticker price. The primers cost me $4.00 a thousand.
The control panals were $19.00 each. Everytime I start complaining about never winning anything, I get this picture out and look at it. Especially these days, it shuts me right up.

Supposedly, the match primers are exactly the same except the particular lot # demonstrates a greater degree of precision.
Lower deviation, higher degree of precision.
I’ve never been able to tell the difference with handguns.

With bolt action rifles, and a chronograph, yes. But it doesn’t always show up at the target.
The 10-15% up charge isn’t worth it.
