Hey Prof!!

I hope you carry, cause that part of town can be unhealthy. I used to live in the Bridgeport area, just down from the Pizza Hut. I moved about 5 months ago over to the West Side, a few blocks off Hershey Drive.

I've heard about MillCreek, and would love to go there, but I am working every weekend. I usually shoot up at Manhiem Sportsmsan's Assoc. as they have a public night Tuesdays.

If anyone from the Lancaster area wants to email me, try [email protected]

And a non-prize bonus if you can figure out the meaning of my email addy...

Downtown Lancaster

(I'm with Perfessr)

Petro-I would tell you if we both carried, but then it would no longer be CONCEALED carry. So I would have to kill you. ;) Just kidding. Why do you think we both got our licenses as soon as we could? :D :neener: I'm not a member at any range, but occasionally visit with daddy. Trops is where I bought my first gun. The rest are all great too, but i'm partial to Trops.

I would love to have a shoot around here sometime soon.

darogue1 is in mohnton pa just ouside of reading. Haven't posted in a while. Always lurk though. About 20-30 min from cabelas. Member of university rifle club AND Mohnton fish and game. Mohnton club has a liquor licence:) Sign over bar reads: Shoot first, drink second As for gunshops gotta give a shout to Kerpers Gun Shop. About 10-15 min away from Shady Maple smorgasboard. There is an idea for a rally point or meet.

Coatesville / Valley Twp. checking in.

(Used to live in Plymouth Meeting & West Chester. My wife is from Springfield, DELCO. I just keep moving further away from New Jersey!

I'd guess that I'll be in Lancaster by 2010, at the rate I'm going...

North Wilmington, just the other side of the line from PA.

Member of Delco Field and Stream, the only place nearby (within 1 hour drive) that I can find to shoot a rifle at 100 yards outside.

Last time I was there the very very very experienced folks were shooting Garrands and all loading only 1 round at a time. I snuck 2 rounds in my new saiga .308 just to see if it would actually feed OK, and that sharp eyed devil running the range that day caught me.

My thought is that if you are OK with one round you should be OK with 10.
Either you know how to handle a gun safely or not.

But all that blasting would disturb the benchrest shooter who has been there all day (everyday) and likes to fire 1 round per hour from his 6mm PPC
Also it would interfere with the folks who come there to chain smoke cigarettes around flammable powder residue, in a wood shoot house, First range I have ever been to where smoking is allowed on the line durring live fire. Also the Cigarette smoke is much thicker than the gun smoke.
But heck I can hold my breath while I shoot.

Guy is always there and a great person to borrow a screwdriver from when you have forgotten yours.:D

Maybe we should have a THR shoot there for all of the members on this board who are near or are members??????

Hey MB-

Thanks for the offer, though I’d probably pass. I’m a member at Atglen Sportsmen’s Club in Atglen PA, just under an hour from N. Wilmington. We have a 600 yd. outdoor range (among others) but no .50 BMG and no full auto allowed.

http://www.atglensportsmensclub.org/

The waiting list is accepting requests now. It's strictly members only.

The dopey “1 round at a time†rules would seem to be in place to placate the insurance provider to the range, and the “I don’t care ‘cuz I only own a deer rifle†crew doesn’t mind it.

The Philadelphia mindset is certainly infiltrating the ‘burbs.

If you can find 1 DAY this year when it doesn't rain I'm in!

I normally organize a shoot every 2-3 months with the TFL/THR crowd but this last year has been terrible for being outdoors. I've had about 50 PA/NJ/DE/VA/MD and NY guys come out at the previous shoots.

I shoot in the rain but nobody shows up if the weather is bad.

Conshohocken, PA
Do my shooting at Target World in Montgomeryville, since I'm strictly a pistolero.

I'm in montgomeryville.

Does anyone know anywhere in Montco or Bucks that allows full mags and rapid fire? I'm a member at Bucks County Fish & Game and shoot at French Creek and Nockamixon public ranges occasionally. I have dropped by targetworld a few times, but it's more for an hour of range time there than I pay for my yearly membership at Bucks County.

I'm in Bucks County, not exactly SE PA, but close enough.

And to TheLastBoyScout

Look into Water & Wings they are North of Quakertown.

Swedesboro, NJ.

{Huh? What? }

Actively shopping for home in Chester/Delaware/Montgomery counties, motivated buyer fleeing oppression of Dark & Fascist state.

{Oh.}

LastBoyScout:

Check out Classic Pistol in Southampton, Bucks county. Not a problem with full mags. They have the standard "No Rapid Fire" signs, but have no problem with quick, controlled pairs that I've seen. Plus, they rent class III. Last I checked, they had 2 MP-5s (Suppressed and Not), M-16, and a Thompson.

I'm from Schuylkill County, but originally from Berks. It takes a few years here to even learn to spell Schuylkill, but it comes easy after learning to spell Yuengling, as in beer. Cabelas is only 20 minutes away. As for Kerper's , I bought a Ruger Mark II there years ago. Great place and easy to deal with. I'd like to stop by again if only I could remember how to get there.

I used to live in Carlisle.
And I raced on the Schuylkille river in College does that count.
