I know this is going to sound like some cheesy commercial, but I assure you I am in no way affiliated with Seal 1; I'm just a gun owner who found an awesome (and surprisingly obscure) product that I want to share with the community.

I wanted to share what I've found to be the best CLP, Seal 1 CLP+. This orange wonder-goo has proven to both clean, lube, and protect with the performance of a dedicated product in each function! I was first introduced to this stuff in 2018 when my local gun shop started selling it. I was skeptical at first, but hated my current cleaning routine. I was using a dedicated cleaning solvent, followed up with a dedicated oil. The clean, then oil process could be reduced to one single step with a CLP, but up to that point I was not happy with the performance I had with other CLP products. I decided to give Seal 1 a try, and was very impressed! It cleaned my gun up to the same level as the solvent I was using. Being a CLP, I also liked not having to go back and oil everything, or worry about rust... it was already done with that first pass! The lubricant properties have proven excellent, from my semi-auto handguns, revolvers, lever actions, and even my AR rifles... this stuff has proven slick on everything! At this point it's all I use on my guns! The only exception to that is my magazines, in which I use Hoppe's Elite gun cleaner since I don't want to leave any CLP oil in my mags.

I am surprised with how obscure this cleaner is when reading other posts on gun cleaning; I rarely see this mentioned! I figured it's worth getting the word out, I sure love it! I don't see myself changing any time soon; as the company says "Seal 1, and DONE."... it's just that easy!

I wonder how much CLP will evaporate in a month or so. I never liked that it seemed to evaporate with a little time or a little shooting. In the Army, we cleaned and lubed our M4s with CLP before putting them away but before hitting the range again, we would have to spray the bolts anyway. One NCO refused to follow this rule and broke teeth off of his bolt. Hoppes and Wilson Combat products don't have this problem in my experience. But a brand of CLP that lasted longer would simplify things for me.

There are a lot of CLP options. BreakFree is just one company making that category of product. There is Seal1, like the OP listed, but there is also SLIP2000, Ballistol, FP10, Gunzilla, and bunches of others.

Your only limitation is your wallet and how many options you want to try.

I recently tried their Seal 1 Copper and Lead Remover as well... which is a dedicated cleaner vs their general purpose CLP liquid. I needed something to remove some very stubborn leading in a few 45ACP, and 380 pistols I have.

Yet again, I'm extremely impressed! The lead and copper remover worked perfectly, and cleaned out the barrels right down to the metal. It cleaned with the same efficiency as a Birchwood Casey lead remover cloth, but without the harsh chemicals or risk of damaging the finish. I don't know what this magic stuff is made from, but it works wonders!

I was given a box of the various SEAL 1 products some time ago. I have been using the orange goopy lube that smells like go-jo hand cleaner in the BCG of my "range" AR. It works OK and smells great, but I still prefer the white lithium grease from auto zone.

There really is no chemical in the gun cleaning products that will remove lead. It has to be physically be removed, with a brush.
There is an acid mixture that dissolve lead but be harmful to the gun if not done right. Mercury could be use to remove lead.
Would be nice if the SEAL brand posted the SDS for there product,

The CLPS are convenient to use and do a good job. Still prefer a separate solvent, then a lube.

Not a fan of CLP's. Or one size fits all. I use a separate cleaner, lube, and wipe down oil and these do a much better job of gun care for me.

I want the gun to look good when done cleaning. With CLP's it just looks like I smeared the the dirt around. Cleaning by far substandard with CLP's. CLP's just kind of did a little bit each of the cleaning, lubricating, and protecting but none of it well.
